A delightful light summer berry tart with a walnut shortbread crust, and a whipped strawberry curd cream to fill the crust! A new twist to lemon curd, and we loved it!!
Oh the power of food, always A M A Z I N G!! I enjoyed making these. Loved the different textures, the colours, the burst of flavours from the rather buttery unsweetened shortbread to the sweet tart lemon curd, with the strawberries lending their ever promising magic to the wedges.
I stole the Stollen we made for Christmas with the Daring Bakers and baked it into a STOLLEN/BREAD PUDDING! Mmmm…just the perfect dessert for a cold wintry day, good to the last crust. Dried tart cherries, slivered almonds and a sifting of sugar dressed it up! Merry Christmas!
