Life is sweet, made sweeter with honey. This roulade also turned out great, the burnt honey mascarpone adding special flavour. If you don’t have time to make the burnt honey, you can always use the honey as is, adjusted to taste.
Eggless Almond Honey Wholegrain Cookies offer deep delicious butterscotch flavour thanks to the brown sugar and butter. Almond meal adds interesting taste, and chocolate chips are thrown in to make another quintessential chocolate chip cookie, this time eggless. These whole grain cookies are nice, chewy if you underbake them a little, and crisp if you bake them longer!
The tart was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.! Combined together, butter, brown sugar, almonds and vanilla beans deliver something special. The crust was crisp, and the tart came together beautifully. Honey roasted figs pleased the palette with the hint of orange zest. For once we didn’t need cream or creme fraiche or ice cream!
