Cherry Matcha Cheesecake Pots … Inspired by Donna Hay
Out of this situation only good will come. I am Safe. One of my favorite affirmations.” Louise Hay on twitter I love reading about cookbooks people own, new ones they’ve added to their collections, and often find myself adding books to my wish list. Ottolenghi: The Cookbook was one such wonderful book, and I was thrilled when Hilda presented it to me. The connect was special, and the book worth every printed word. Reading about many times in the past few months, and then again last night on Nordjus made me update my virtual list! Yes, another one added to the ever growing list. I couldn’t believe my good fortune…

MANGO MOUSSE TART…forced into obligation!
“All men’s gains are the fruit of venturing”Herodotus You might remember the French tart I tried to make here on Mother’s Day, & it didn’t oblige at all. I admonished the misbehaving tart shell, & it cooled it’s heels in the fridge for 2 days, while I tried to figure out how best to resurrect it. I tried, & managed to come up with something, which worked out quite well eventually! Not one to take a baking defeat lightly, a bruised ego very much there, the tart shell bugged me for 2 days. Each time I opened the fridge, it sat there cheekily trying to engage me in conversation! Phew…

This is an indulgent pudding we enjoy once in a while…an eggless Indian rice pudding, a recipe I have concocted over the years, & often make on the go. The quality of rice changes from time to time, but the pudding is quite forgiving. Add some milk if it is too…

MANGO JELLY MOUSSE WITH CHOCOLATE…bidding a sweet farewell!
“I love fruit, when it is expensive.” Sir Arthur Wing Pinero The mango season cometh, & now, the mango season goeth!! I think it’s now sadly the fag end of the much touted & celebrated mango season in India…& all stone fruits have beaten a retreat one by one. We are enjoying the last clutch of pretty expensive mangoes which are tortuously bidding us adieu…which meant it was time to make a mangoee something with chocolate for Meeta’s What’s For Lunch Honey? for her event, Monthly Mingle August 2008: Fruit & Chocolate. She called for a combination of fruit & chocolate & I thought this up on a day I…

Chocolate Cinnamon Mousse … Life is certainly a bowl of cherries, Chocolate Makes it Better!
“I just clipped 2 articles from a current magazine. One is a diet guaranteed to drop 5 pounds off my body in a weekend. The other is a recipe for a 6 minute pecan pie.” Erma Bombeck Sweet bowl of cherries… …& Cherries atop a Chocolate-Cinnamon Mousse. Can it get any better? Coincidentally, my dessert’s set out in Red, White & Blue!! Have a great 4th of July to all of you in the U.S.!! When summer came round the corner, the first flood of fruit hit us. Amongst them were cherries, a fruit I have always connected with an immensely funny book, ‘If Life Is a Bowl of Cherries,…
