THE DRAGONFLY…
“Deep in the sun-searched growths the dragonfly Hangs like a blue thread loosened from the sky.” Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Silent Noon The Dragonfly… Look who was kind enough to drop by when I was airing out the Jaipuri throws yesterday. This dragonfly had plenty of beans, and was zipping around like it was enjoying the sun! Unfortunately I couldn’t get closer…am sure I will one day, and get a better picture (& hopefully a better camera too). This fellow seemed to enjoy my ‘melting’ company (the sun was HOT!) and kept coming back again & again. These creatures are absolutely fascinating, with boundless energy, hovering around like miniature helicopters! (Off…

A CRUMBLE TO FALL FOR…a healthy Apple Crumble!
“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking successive autumns.” George Eliot Sugar & spice & ‘FALL’ things nice…that’s what I’m made up of! Cinnamon scrolls…adding flavour to the Crumble! A twist to the regular crumble to make it healthier. Ingredients:Butter – ½ cupCastor Sugar – 2/3 cupVanilla Essence – 1 tspSalt – 1 large pinchEgg – 1, beatenFlour – 1 cupSoda…

“From morning till night, sounds drift from the kitchen, most of them familiar and comforting….On days when warmth is the most important need of the human heart, the kitchen is the place you can find it; it dries the wet sock, it cools the hot little brain.” E.B.White (1899-1985) BROWN SUGAR MUFFINS with WALNUTS & CHOCOLATE CHIPS…comfort food!
