THINK SPICE…GARLIC ; My favourite flavour..with brocolli this time!
“Garlic is a habit and a passion.” Kim Upton, Chicago Sun-Times This time the THINK SPICE spice is GARLIC! One of my absolute favourites in savoury flavours. A friend once gave me a Thai basil chicken recipe & said put as much garlic as you think is enough…& then just double the amount! How right that was…in the end, the garlic was perfect & the flavours out of this world. That’s the power of garlic! Steamed Brocolli tossed in a zesty garlic dressing… For Sunita’s World’s monthly spice event, I’ve decided to post another great easy recipe that works well as a cold salad or side dish, & can be…

Even the year has almost come to an end! Huff Puff!! Will make an attempt to get onboard Nupur’s blogevent ‘Best of 2007’ to mark the end of 2007…a chance to do a SWOT on ourselves! I’m not sure I’m good at this, but will give it a shot since I committed. Am still pretty new around here, and have been hooked onto blogland only since…

GRILLED LAMB CHOPS…Tangy and tasty!!
‘The gentle art of gastronomy is a friendly one. It hurdles the language barrier, makes friends among civilized people, and warms the heart.’ Samuel Chamberlain GRILLED LAMB CHOPS This is a nice, feel-good, sort of dish (doubles up as finger-food too), which we like at home for a change from curries etc. The ingredients can be increased or decreased to suit personal tastes…we love the tanginess of the meat off the bone. I grill these sometimes, and at other times pan cook them. These can be served with mashed potatoes/oven baked fries, grilled veggies, a dip/chutney, green salad, dinner rolls or naan bread. The kids love the ease of nibbling…

Penne in Cream Mushroom Sauce..for Presto Pasta Nights.
“The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you’re hungry again.” George Miller PENNE IN A CREAM MUSHROOM SAUCE Here’s my entry for Presto Pasta Nights hosted by a great blog ‘Once Upon a Feast’ which I enjoy reading tremendously. You will find some great meal ideas here. A versatile, simple recipe. I like to make this with penne because the sauce holds on better, though find it works well with even spaghetti. I have got great reviews on this, and always get a recipe request whenever I serve it. This is the vegetarian version. For a non-vegetarian version, toss in grilled/ chopped chicken when…
