Baking| Honey Roasted Fig & Almond Tart … good food indeed!
The tart was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.! Combined together, butter, brown sugar, almonds and vanilla beans deliver something special. The crust was crisp, and the tart came together beautifully. Honey roasted figs pleased the palette with the hint of orange zest. For once we didn't need cream or creme fraiche or ice cream!

Savoury Tartlets … a flavour explosion of cherry tomatoes & caramelised onion
The flavours were outstanding. Sweet caramelised onions, tart sweet cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, sea salt, the kick of vinegar...and of course garlic! Crisp out of then oven, but pretty darned good cold too.

A quick, light, fruity tart to make. Use any seasonal berries and have it ready in next to no time. So much colour, flavour, texture and good taste! The crisp, buttery pastry and the soft cooked fruit makes life sweeter by the second.

Bittersweet Chocolate Orange Strawberry Tart … rich & delicious
Bittersweet chocolate paired with sweet scents of orange zest, topped with strawberries in a Digestive biscuit crust – eggless too. I think this might well be a dessert than can please one and all, perfect for this holiday season!

Baking| Vanilla Almond Frangipane Plum Tart … the last of the plums {well almost}
It was one of those obsessive days, a ‘have to bake with plums’ sort of a day! The plums found a happily ever after ending in this pretty fruit bake – a Vanilla Almond Frangipane Plum Tart. An easy and delicious tart - a crisp base paired with a vanilla almond frangipane and sweetly tart plums! Ground oats in the pastry worked really well!

Whats not to love about cookies which contrast the softness of tart cherries with dark chocolate. A one bowl chocolate chip cookie recipe we enjoyed while vacationing.... and a few pics of Hong Kong too!
