TAGS, AWARDS & A TON OF THANKS!
“A photograph is like the recipe – a memory the finished dish. “ Carrie Latet It’s been a while that I was tagged to do post my top 10 foodie photographs from my blog. When I first got the tag from Farida @ Azarbaijani Cookbook I was thrilled. This was something just me…’say it with pictures’. Tags in general remind me of my dear friend Manggy@ No Special Effects where he claims ‘all tags come to die’. This tag was special & challenging. Clicking away to glory is my next best therapeutic pleasure after cooking or baking, & I’m still trying to squeeze the life out of my old faithful…

DARK CHOCOLATE PANNA COTTA…It’s all about the kidz in us!
“I can resist everything except temptation” Oscar Wilde Dark Chocolate Panna Cotta…deeply divine! Foolishly put the question across to the kids, asked them what they love to eat most….& nearly got run over in the ensuing melee. Sweet ranked supreme, & chocolate was the popular call.. “Chocolate panna cotta“ sang the chorus!! Did I have to ask? I seldom do because I like to keep rotating flavours, especially chocolaty ones, lest they get stuck on one. I asked today because Ben has a special kids event on for Food for Plastic Kidz as ‘Tupperware is celebrating April as Children’s month. The best part is that they are donating $1 from…

CHOCOLATE-CHIP PISTACHIO COOKIES…& SERENDIPITY!
“Me want cookie!”Cookie Monster Chocolate-chip Pistachio Cookies This was the day after making the chocolate pistachio fudge. I was plenty inspired with the great combination of chocolate & pistachios & decided to explore it some more. Time to substitute the walnuts in my chocolate chip cookies with pistachios! Oooooooooooh…for a nut which is not quite popular or as visible as pecans or walnuts, I’m amazed at the potential it has! This cookie tasted great; very nice indeed. I’ve also seen some great pistachio panna cottas on the net. Another delightful thing about pistachios is the visual appeal. They add a burst of colour to whatever they are added to, more…

CHOCOLATE ORANGE CLOUD GATEAU…WALKING ON CLOUDS!!
“After about 20 years of marriage, I’m finally starting to scratch the surface of what women want. And I think the answer lies somewhere between conversation and chocolate.” Mel Gibson Chocolate Orange Cloud Gateau… I love cake making occasions & am beginning to explore newer avenues. Loads of experience & some success has made me bolder! One of the 2 books that are parked at my bedside are ‘Cream Cakes & Gateaux’ by Sue Ross. She says …‘Homemade cream cakes are irresistibly compulsive – and you don’t have to be an expert to gain perfect results. Even the most spectacular results need no more than a quick final assembly of…

COFFEE WALNUT COOKIES…Heavenly beans!!
“Behind every successful woman is a substantial amount of coffee.” Stephanie PiroWALNUT COFFEE COOKIES… Yesterday was a busy day; I loved it. I made these scrumptious coffee cookies & a ‘Citrus Olive Oil Cake’…both from Cafe Fernando’s. This yummy food blog has the most beautiful collection of recipes & lovely pictures. More about the cake in another post…it was delicious too. Have been dying to make cookies ever since I saw them there. It’s a recipe Cenk tried from Alice Medrich’s book Pure Dessert…a book which is full of simple and delicious recipes that focus on pure flavor. The amount of butter was the only deterrent, but I thought…What the…
