Pebbly Beach Fruit Squares … charming cookies for Mothers Day!
“If you can laugh at it, you can live with it.” Erma Brombeck Happy May! There was a time when as kids we would go around shrieking May Daaaaaay May Daaaaaay on the 1st of May, giggling stupidly at the SOS call. They were l♥ved by the kids, prized apart, jam duly licked off, sugar too, and then the cookies enjoyed … gobbled up in seconds. I think the basic cookie is a great one too sans the jam filling, quite like a nutty crisp shortbread on its own.

“We’ll drink a drink a drink To Lily the pink the pink the pink The savior of the human race. She invented medicinal compound. Most efficacious in every case.” Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales The MacTweets time again, and this time we’ve gone PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness for Pinktober. Through the month of October, I tend to think a lot of PINK. Often, the first song that comes to my mind is this funny pub song. Have you heard it before? I’m not sure if we were taught it in school {a pub song seems somewhat inappropriate to be taught in school}, but I can sing it out loud,…
