HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
Oprah Winfrey
collage8 Wanted to share a beautiful message from a dear friend that I got the other day. Its makes so much sense, is so simple…but still so elusive!
Sian says…”Happy New Year to you also, let’s hope 2008 brings us compassion and peace in the world. We need more baking and less war!If people ate more sweets, they would feel the love in every bite and there would be no need for harmful disagreements, because they would feel so content.
See I have it figured out, how come they don’t?
Oops, sorry, got carried away… I just want peace.”

Can’t agree more; I think that’s what we all want.

Have a safe & peaceful 2008!

About me: I am a freelance food writer, recipe developer and photographer. Food is my passion - baking, cooking, developing recipes, making recipes healthier, using fresh seasonal produce and local products, keeping a check on my carbon footprint and being a responsible foodie! I enjoy food styling, food photography, recipe development and product reviews. I express this through my food photographs which I style and the recipes I blog. My strength lies in 'Doing Food From Scratch'; it must taste as good as it looks, and be healthy too. Baking in India, often my biggest challenge is the non-availability of baking ingredients, and this has now become a platform to get creative on. I enjoy cooking immensely as well.

a wonderful and more creative new year to you, Deeba:) and special wishes to your family for sparing your precious time to us:)

my new year resolution is to first empty the ‘baking’ pantry… things that i keep accumulating in hopes of trying out a recipe but then getting inspired by another one! if it’s not too much to ask… do you have any recipe using crushed biscuits/biscuit crumbs (yes i’ve quite a few almond/orange flavoured whole-meal biscuits to spare). Thanks!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I'd love to hear from you.
