GRAB THE GLASSES…THE KEBABS ARE HERE!
Cuisine is the tactile connection we have to breathing history.History and culture offer us a vibrant living society that we taste through cuisine. All cuisine is a reflection of the society from which it emanates … in the end cuisine is the result of culture” Clifford Wright When it’s time for celebration, clink glasses or serve these kebabs in them! Another gem of a recipe, adapted from this Shammi kebab recipe from Mallika @ Quick Indian Cooking. These have become a regular on the menu, & you can always find a box in my freezer. Kebabs like this are very handy indeed, & serve well for a delicious snack, or even…

GINGER FLORENTINES…World of Spice Cookies Event!
“C is for cookie, it’s good enough for me; oh cookie cookie cookie starts with C.”Cookie Monster It’s a race against time, like a fight to the finish. Thankfully no resolutions for me this year, otherwise, one would most certainly have been not to work under pressure. But this time, cookies I have to make, & the reason is Meeta. Barrie Sorry I’ve been MIA for a short while. New year begins in a tizzy every year since she was born. The daughter arrived on the 2nd of January, 13 years ago, in freezing cold weather. Ever since, she has ensured we spend the beginning of the year, every single year, on our toes, racing around to celebrate her birthday. Her list of friends grows & grows, & then we have friends who just drop by too. Till she…

Fresh Fruit Cake … Adieu 2008!
“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” Oprah Winfrey Like all good things in life come to an end, 2008 has come to an end too. It’s been a good year in blogland, filled with loads of new friends, food & a whole lot of fun. It’s had its low moments too, where we sadly lost some good blogger friends like Bri to cancer, & Sherry who suffered a fatal heart attack. Low again because world peace got shattered often, & the same old helpless feeling crept into our lives again. High because we now know that we can make a difference, however…
