Gift a basket on Diwali, Christmas, Birthdays etc
Thankfully the Indian summer and humid weather are on the way out. Its the time of the year when the festive season beckons…with Diwali and Christmas just round the corner and winter approaching, it’s fun to bake again. I sometimes do gift baskets for festivals like Diwali, and customise them too. A Good Cake for Dessert
Almond-Orange Sponge with Chocolate Ganache Icing the Passionate Baker This is a much loved combination of almonds, orange and chocolate. The flavours get enhanced while the cake is chilled, and this recipe is a sure winner. I have made this a number of times, and have always received compliments. Sponge Preheat oven to 190deg C , reduce to 180deg C after 10 mins of putting the cake in. Greased lined 7-8″tin; A springform cake tin is always better. Georges Blanc, Ma Cuisine des Saisons Here’s one I did for my Dad’s birthday. I ran out of ideas, was just browsing around, and saw this design on some linen. My love for the blue-green combo reflects in this cake. The basic cake is from the Hershey’s Chocolate Cake recipe from their website, and the icing is of whipped cream with vanilla essence and sugar. Posted by Deeba @ PAB
