Coffee Macarons & Pumpkin Pie Spice too – I’d FALL for these anyday!
It's MacTweets Attack Season 13...lucky for some, unlucky for none we hope! It's to do with fall. This is the time of the year in the Northern Hemisphere where the leaves turn red, gold, auburn ... where the days grow dark and cold. What does Fall mean to you? My fall macarons are coffee for the warmth of the season, and pumpkin pie spice for all things nice! I found feet twice, and 'fell' for both!!

In love with Apple Cinnamon Walnut Rough Puff Pastry Parcels … perfect for Fall
A made from scratch, rough puff pastry from Ottolenghi, meets a delightful apple filling from Dorie Greenspan in these delicious Apple Cinnamon Walnut parcels. They were like something you would find in a quaint Parisian café, just right with a caffè latte.

{Baking} Ottolenghi’s Individual Cherry & Plum Clafoutis … & a chance to win a Kitchen Aid Mixer
“If Life is a Bowl of Cherries, what Am I Doing in the Pits?” Erma Bombeck YIKES I did it again!! Yes, it was back to the Ottolenghi cookbook for the nth time. Well I had cherries, neatly pitted in a bowl, all thanks to a cherry pitter that Purple Foodie sent me from Mumbai. Well you see, last year I sat for hours pitting cherries by hand, one by end, and sobbed my woe begone tale on twitter. Jamie was horrified that I still lived in the stone age, and didn’t have a cherry pitter! “A what ???” I hollered right back! Never seen one here, and was entirely…

Thick, Chewy Granola Bars … you left us smitten!
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” Ralph Waldo Emerson A visit to Smitten Kitten always leaves me enamoured and charmed. Deb’s always got something that holds my attention. It’s often simple comfort food. Beautiful brownies, awesome cakes, or then something as simple as these thick, chewy granola bars. The beauty of her posts is the passion she does them with. She bakes from scratch, her commentary is engaging, and her posts have brilliant photographs. These granola bars, adapted from King Arthur Flour, had her readers, including me, quite smitten. For me, the bars scored a 10/10 in every aspect – health, taste, looks, versatility. Above all they were kid…

Chocolate chip, Cranberry & Walnut Sconies (Scones+Cookies=Sconies) … we l♥v them!
“Sometimes me think what is love, and then me think love is what last cookie is for. Me give up the last cookie for you.” Cookie Monster I love making cookies, and I love making scones. This time I decided to combine my love forthe two, using a recipe I turn to often. It’s one I use from Romney Steels cookbook My Nepenthe that was reviewed on Heidi’s beautiful blog 101 Cookbooks. These are the best I’ve ever made, and oh-so-accomodative. What I like about them is the ease with which the recipe embraces different ingredients. Had posted the scones over Christmas ‘Orange & Oat Scones‘. My nephew who was…

Strawberry Apple Pie Cake with Dried Fruits – What’s Love Got to Do With It?
“And there never was an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” Neil Gaiman What’s l♥v got to do with this cake? Everything!! Loves got everything to do with this if you love fruity goodness. This is a light fruity cake, great for a snack, elegant for evening tea, different in so many ways. The bottom layer is basically the fresh fruit which gets cooked in a cakey batter, and the topping is a nice burst of dried fruit. Feel free to use what suits you, what you love!! The blogiverse is exciting and BIG! It’s fun to find new blogs, some…
