A TOAST TO ROASTED GARLIC…SPAGHETTI & FOCACCIA…& another award!
“Garlic is a habit and a passion.” Kim Upton, Chicago Sun-Times Of Spaghetti & Vegetables… this one’s a combination full-of-flavour! Bursting with flavour…an incredibly delicious focaccia! Ever since I read that Casa Bencomo has a huge jar of organic garlic waiting to be used up, my minds hit the garlic trail. Am sure the jar at Amy’s end is history, but my pursuit in never ending…garlic is one of my favourite ingredients. I was at a loose end for a meal one day…rummaged in the fridge & found bell peppers. Had a couple of heads of garlic & spaghetti. The Pasta Bible has place of honour on my bedside these…

DARK CHOCOLATE PANNA COTTA…It’s all about the kidz in us!
“I can resist everything except temptation” Oscar Wilde Dark Chocolate Panna Cotta…deeply divine! Foolishly put the question across to the kids, asked them what they love to eat most & nearly got run over in the ensuing melee. Sweet ranked supreme, & chocolate was the popular call, so this dark chocolate panna cotta it was! “Dark chocolate panna cotta“ sang the chorus!! Did I have to ask? I seldom do because I like to keep rotating flavours, especially chocolaty ones, lest they get stuck on one. I asked today because Ben has a special kids event on for Food for Plastic Kidz as ‘Tupperware is celebrating April as Children’s month.…

You can find the recipe HERE. The word excellent has reminded me of some urgent & overdue stuff to be done. I have received this lovely award three times; once each from Susan @ Food Blogga, Joy @ Joy the Baker & from Andrew @ New…

I used to watch it often while visiting the UK years ago. Two members of the public, or occasionally sporting or other celebrities, provide two celebrity chefs with a bag of ingredients they have bought, usually to a set budget of £5 The chefs proceed to make several dishes out of the said ingredients (and a generously stocked kitchen containing basic ingredients and spices), in 20 minutes, with the help of the contestants…

MALTED OAT ‘n’ PISTACHIO COOKIES & A DISTINCT AWARD…GASP!!
“Food…can look beautiful, taste exquisite, smell wonderful, make people feel good, bring them together, inspire romantic feelings. …At its most basic, it is fuel for a hungry machine.” Rosamond Richardson Malted Oat ‘n’ Pistachio Cookies I made really simple healthy cookies the other day. Had some oats which were beginning to look really sad just sitting there, so out came the cookbook. …’The Great Cookie Book’. Wasn’t in the mood for some long drawn recipe; found this one which seemed as laid back as I was feeling! Made a few changes as I obviously would want to. Added nuts to add to crunch & taste; had to be pistachios which…
