For probably the first time in my life something clicked…literally. I made this Streusel Coffee Cake day before because of an image from Joy of Baking that was maddeningly stuck in my brain. Last night, the nuts suddenly struck me as very very familiar…CLICK NUTS !!! Yippee! Now I’ve cut a slice, clicked a picture & I’m all set for Jai & Bee’s at Jugalbandi! VOILA! Couldn’t have asked for more.

And as you can see, my son is making hay while the sun shines. He’s been on cloud nine ever since this blogaddiction overtook me…his sister & he get to taste different stuff every other day. HE’S LOVING IT…even though he’s only allowed ONE slice a day! He’s perfectly happy to just sit & look at it!!

IMG 8711 The cake was simply delicious. A moist & light crumb….& tasted heavenly, warm, with a drizzle of cream. Has my favourite combination of chocolate chips & walnuts, made even more interesting with orange zest! The recipe for the cake can be found here.

About me: I am a freelance food writer, recipe developer and photographer. Food is my passion - baking, cooking, developing recipes, making recipes healthier, using fresh seasonal produce and local products, keeping a check on my carbon footprint and being a responsible foodie! I enjoy food styling, food photography, recipe development and product reviews. I express this through my food photographs which I style and the recipes I blog. My strength lies in 'Doing Food From Scratch'; it must taste as good as it looks, and be healthy too. Baking in India, often my biggest challenge is the non-availability of baking ingredients, and this has now become a platform to get creative on. I enjoy cooking immensely as well.
