Just in case you guys think I’m obsessed with baking & not just passionate about it, time to burst the bubble! I do plenty of other tinkering around too; lots of which is in the garden.
collageBeen thinking of posting these for a while, but each day was bringing a change. Now finally, here are the Chrysanthemums growing in our garden, which I have been tracking from the bud stage to full bloom.

This is the season for these picture perfect flowers here in North India, & they are visible in full glory everywhere.

About me: I am a freelance food writer, recipe developer and photographer. Food is my passion - baking, cooking, developing recipes, making recipes healthier, using fresh seasonal produce and local products, keeping a check on my carbon footprint and being a responsible foodie! I enjoy food styling, food photography, recipe development and product reviews. I express this through my food photographs which I style and the recipes I blog. My strength lies in 'Doing Food From Scratch'; it must taste as good as it looks, and be healthy too. Baking in India, often my biggest challenge is the non-availability of baking ingredients, and this has now become a platform to get creative on. I enjoy cooking immensely as well.

You know, Deeba, I read an article not too long ago about a study that showed people were markedly happier (and more productive!) when surrounded by fresh flowers at their workplace. Lovely pics–thanks for sharing.

Lovely Pics. Chrystanthemum Tea (white variety)is a popular herbal tea among chinese. It is considard as a cooling herb. I like the sweet smell n taste it imparts to tea.

Beautiful pictures! It reminds me of my mom’s garden in Mexico. Up here, however, it is too cold right now for any garden. It just started to snow right now :/

    Cheers!

Hi EC, have heard about the show. I believe its unbelieveable the number of varieties & colours they come up with.
Thanks Susan & very right. Just makes the world a better place to be in.
The Chinese use the Chrysanthemum flower in a lot of their art-work too, Taste of Mysore. Have always been fascinated by the far-east!
    Sagari, thank you.

I love how you captured the buds unfolding. Very nice.

My mums are all withered now. Too much wet and cold for them here, I think. Nice to know they are blooming somewhere. :0)
